Make Space For What Matters

Space Camp wants to make the world a better place to live, one room at a time. We believe organization is a necessity, not a luxury, for a happy and healthy life. We bring endless creativity, optimism and joy to organizing, making every step, from the first consultation to the final walk-through, fun and enjoyable.

Creativity
We truly believe that organization and lasting systems are different for everyone. Don’t worry about what everyone else is doing. We customize solutions that work well for you, your family, and your space.

Empathy
We will help you reach your ultimate organization goals with understanding and shared motivation. Learning to be organized is a process that doesn’t happen overnight and being hard on yourself won’t make it happen any faster. Treat yourself with kindness—we will!

I grew up in a boisterous household surrounded by a whole lot of stuff. We had rock collections, beanie baby collections, coin collections, violin collections (I could go on, but you see the pattern). When I was 15, we found out that every exterior wall of our home was teeming with poisonous black mold and causing us serious health issues. My family immediately packed up and moved out in a matter of hours, only bringing a handful of belongings with us. Surprisingly, the months that followed were some of the happiest I could remember. I had almost nothing! And it didn’t matter. My family was together, we were having an adventure, and the burden of owning too much was gone. That was my first inclination that living with less can lead to a happier life.

I’m not a true “minimalist” by any means, but throughout my life, I’ve taken a number of opportunities to dramatically reduce clutter and excess. I’ve noticed that I feel calmer and lighter in spaces that are clean and tidy.

I concentrate better and feel more creative when my desk is clear. When I remove the stuff that I don’t need or want from my physical space, I feel a kind of lightness that ripples throughout other aspects of my life.

When I began organizing clients’ homes nearly a decade ago, I was surprised to see how hard it was for a successful lawyer to get rid of the broken tupperware she didn’t need, or how a busy mom of three would rather cling tightly to her collection of old jeans than reclaim space in her closet. And there it was, right in front of me: a way I could help. My clients were looking for permission to own less, and I was happy to give it to them. Years later, I’ve organized hundreds of rooms, donated tens of thousands of items, and empowered people to take back space in their homes, offices and lives.
